A few days ago, my daughter pulled up my YouTube subscriber count and noted I was getting close to 5,000 subscribers. I was surprised because I don’t pay a lot of attention to it until she brings this stuff up. Then she showed me a graph with my subscriber count from one year ago. It was a little over 700. To my surprise, my channel grew exponentially beyond what I imagined in one year.

So here’s the reason I’m telling you…

I didn’t focus on getting big numbers. I simply focused on doing what God told me to do, which was PRAY daily.

Of course, I educated myself on the basics of starting and growing a YouTube channel, but it was God who sent (and continues to send) the women to pray.

Do what God said…and then watch what he does!

You never know!!!!

Are you the type of person that says YES to everyone? Do you struggle with telling people NO?

You are not alone. I used to be that way. I used to want people to like me so I said YES a lot. I learned the best thing I can give the people in my life is not my YES… but my authenticity.

Being authentic means people can trust you to be genuine… even if it means you have to tell them NO sometimes. NO doesn’t mean you don’t love people. NO means you honor them enough to tell them the truth. Truth doesn’t always equal convenience. Truth is a gateway to relational connection.

Remember this post when you’re tempted to say YES when you really should say NO!
