Embrace Abnormal

Last month God began to lead me to study his Word regarding how he moves in unexpected ways. I shared a message about “embracing the abnormal.” As a Believer is Jesus Christ, sometimes we get used to life as normal. We get used to normal worship, normal service, normal marriages, normal jobs…a normal life.

But what could happen if we believed God for the abnormal. What if He led us in ways that didn’t seem normal to us?

Drawing Closer to God

The pursuit of God never gets old. God is as close to us as we want Him to be.

God isn’t the one who moves. We move.

We move away from him towards, life’s issues, life’s struggles and life’s distractions. I hope the below video, helps you pray your way to start the process of drawing closer to God!

Bless you,

Kimyetta

Eating Healthy

Why is it so hard for adults to eat healthy? I’m asking this question while sitting at my kitchen table thinking about the cookies in my pantry.

Perhaps its because eating can be so closely associated with our emotions. For some of us, if we don’t feel good, then our natural inclination is to run to our fridge to soothe the discomfort.

Check out the below prayer for eating habits. We can be victorious, even over our eating habits!

I hope this helps you.

Blessings,

Kimyetta

Motherhood – Finding YOUR balance

Photo: Adam Davis

BELOW IS A BLOG POST THAT I WROTE 9 YEARS AGO!

MY OLDEST SON IS 15 NOW. I FOUND IT IN MY DRAFTS AND DECIDED TO SHARE IT NOW BECAUSE I THINK IT WAS MEANT TO BLESS SOMEONE TODAY.

After having my first child six  years ago, it rocked my world. Everything became a blur.

I vaguely remember a whirlwhind of pampers, doctor’s visits, sleepless nights, canned food, bottles, etc.

I actually stopped working a full-time job because I truly felt I was “called” to be a stay-at-home mom.

Ha! That was fun! 🙂

When that phase in my life didn’t work out, I returned to work when my son was 10-months old. I was convicted and confused about what I was SUPPOSED to do.

The Lord ministered to me so beautifully.  He showed me that I didn’t have to be like anyone else.

He called me to be me.

He wanted me to follow His leading on how to live a balanced life for my family and not focus on the “super moms” I saw around me.

Remember this: We can always look to others for inspiration but never for intimidation.

What’s your life balance? I hope you know it…
