Despite everything…God Favored Me

I’m listening to this amazing song from Pastor Hezekiah Walker right now.

It brings tears to my eyes to know that despite my enemies’ efforts and my own mistakes, God has still favored me… beyond words, my friends… simply beyond words.

My life, my husband, my kids, my calling… my God!

Thank you for FAVOR!

Please listen to the words of the song. Enjoy this song and worship God with me right now.

I’m praying for you and I love you!

Why Your Dreams Matter!

Dreaming photo by G Schouten de Jel

Be honest with me. Do you still dream?

We’re only a few months away from the end of 2011. Are you any closer to your dream than you were a year ago or two years ago or even five years ago?

I hope my questions don’t depress you.

In fact, I hope they help you think seriously about your goals and dreams. Just in case you didn’t know this, your dreams do matter to God. If God gave you a dream, then now is the time to go for it.

Don’t wait until the new year to “start fresh.” Start today by making a dream list and praying over it. If you don’t do this for YOUR dream, then no one else will.

Please know that your dreams do matter. That’s why God gave them to you.

I love you and I’m praying for you!

Just imagine…

Can you imagine what it would feel like to be completely financially independent? How would you feel if you had hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars saved so you can live and bless other people? Have you ever imagined what you would feel like if you could actually go in a store and buy something cash for yourself and anyone else without fretting over your budget? Do you know what it feels like to jump on a plane or ship and go wherever you want to go…when you want to go… for how long you want to go? Have you ever just sat and meditated on those thoughts? What a feeling? Someday folks, someday…

Faith Check!

Recently I had a tremendous revelation about my faith.

I realized my “faith walk” wasn’t as strong as I professed it to be. I had the externals in place. I prayed. I studied. I confessed. Yet I wasn’t getting the results.

At the end of the day, the Lord showed me that even though I believed in Him, I didn’t BELIEVE Him. My confessions have changed and I’ve challenged myself to go to a deeper level in my faith walk with Him.

It’s amazing what can happen when you really begin to believe God. How’s your faith?

Hey… Where’s My Favor?

Whenever you hear a preacher mention “favor”, you can bet the crowd will give a big cheer. No one wants to hear about controlling the tongue, disciplining the flesh or studying the Bible. But just mention the word FAVOR and people jump out of their seats.

Why?

Favor is a topic that reminds us that the struggle is almost over. Favor means God will “work it out” some kind of way. People think FAVOR means you can just get blessed without any effort. You can live in sin, disobedience, strife, dissension, adultery, fear, doubt and discord, but you walk in the “fava’ of de Laud”.

Not exactly.

The bible says if you are willing and obedient you’ll eat the good of the land. God will bless you with FAVOR according to your obedience. That doesn’t mean you work for favor because favor is God’s unmerited grace upon your life. It doesn’t make sense for God to pour out favor and blessings on a lazy, lascivious, mean-spirited soul. His ultimate goal is our wholeness.

So the next time you hear the preacher yell FAVOR… go ahead and shout, but when the shouting is over, be sure to check yourself… selah!
