Tasting the Change In You

When was the last time you looked in the mirror and made a quality decision to change?

I mean really change.

I’m not talking about the cute Christian stuff we say about change. I’m not talking about the self-help change. I’m talking about digging deep and asking God to uproot anything and everything that’s holding you back from living the life you were intended to live.

Ask God to reveal His plan for your personal change. TODAY.

In fact, go a step further and ask yourself this question: If I don’t change now, then what will my life be like in five years?

Selah!

I’m praying for you!

Waiting on the Harvest

My kids' little "harvest".

Recently I walked into my kitchen at 4:48a.m.

This picture shows the first thing I saw sitting in my window. It was my boys’ two grass “projects” in tiny pots. What was shocking is that overnight the grass grew so rapidly. It reminded me of the scripture in Galatians 6:9 that says, do not be weary in well doing because you will reap a harvest at the proper time, if you faint not. GLORY!

Overnight. And Suddenly.  In an instant my boys had a harvest of grass sprouting out of their pots. That’s how God works. Our job is to sow and water the seed and don’t grow faint.

We’re guaranteed a harvest… someday!

Happy 1st Birthday or 1st Anniversary!

I can’t believe its been a year since I started writing My Freedom Suite’s blog. I wanted to record a little video blog for this special occasion, however, I’m still 20 pounds overweight so I passed on the video this time. 🙂

I know that seems a bit vain or trite, however, that’s the purpose for the blog anyway.  It’s to work out issues, like being overly concerned with things like weight, emotions, offense, hurt etc. etc.

You see, writing this blog started out as therapy for me because I had so much inside of me that I wanted to get out. So I simply started writing whatever God gave me or whatever popped in my head. Some days I wrote out of frustration or anger.  Other days I wrote out of love and passion. Many of you have commented that you love the blog because I tell the truth without restraint.

Well that’s what you can count on in year two as our baby blog goes from being an infant blog to a toddler. So in the spirit of the auspices occasion, here’s a link to the very first My Freedom Suite one year ago today!

God Bless You and of course, I’m praying for your freedom.

Mistake or Lesson?

Cecile Graat

Do you beat yourself up over your mistakes?

What if you make the same mistake over and over?

Do you kick yourself for “messing up” something?

I asked those questions because I read a dynamite tweet from Rick Warren that says “It’s not a mistake, it’s a lesson.”

WOW! That was right on time. It helped me. It soothed me. It encouraged me to know that as long as I learn from my mistakes, then it was merely a lesson that I learned. No condemnation for the past failures. I’m moving forward.

What about you?
