Recently I posted a prayer video during our family prayer week about strong marriages. I specifically prayed for current marriages and future marriages. I was pretty surprised to see the low level of interest in that topic.

But then it dawned on me. Perhaps the numbers were so low because people have given up on the idea of strong marriages. Is marriage so difficult that it’s easier to just give up on it and move on than to actually fight through the challenges?

That’s a personal question, that requires a VERY personal amount of self reflection.

Here’s what I know: Strong marriages are possible. But a strong marriage won’t pop out of a hat nor fall out of the sky. Strong marriages won’t happen accidentally either.

If you want a strong marriage, then you have to FIGHT FOR IT!

I am in the process of working with my son on a project that requires mountains and mountains of faith. Every time we take a step forward, it feels like we get news that pushes us three steps back.

Today was no different…

I was thinking about the essence of faith based on God’s word.

According to Hebrews 11:6, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Today I had to remind myself when I received ANOTHER doubtful email from someone about this project. It was hard. I got a little sad. But then I thought about that scripture and decided to have “FAITH ANYWAY!”

Having faith isn’t easy. Having faith means you may NOT see anything, but you have to move in faith anyway based on what God said.

Don’t get down when things look bleak. Gird up your loins. Meditate on Hebrews 11:6. Move forward and have faith anyway!!!!

Recently I hosted “AND SUDDENLY” week on my YouTube Channel. I wanted viewers to understand that God can do ANYTHING at ANY MOMENT!

Don’t ever limit what God can do and when He can do it!

A few days ago, my daughter pulled up my YouTube subscriber count and noted I was getting close to 5,000 subscribers. I was surprised because I don’t pay a lot of attention to it until she brings this stuff up. Then she showed me a graph with my subscriber count from one year ago. It was a little over 700. To my surprise, my channel grew exponentially beyond what I imagined in one year.

So here’s the reason I’m telling you…

I didn’t focus on getting big numbers. I simply focused on doing what God told me to do, which was PRAY daily.

Of course, I educated myself on the basics of starting and growing a YouTube channel, but it was God who sent (and continues to send) the women to pray.

Do what God said…and then watch what he does!

You never know!!!!
