Complaining?

A few days ago, I was complaining to God about someone, but I was calling it prayer. God has a sense of humor because He didn’t respond to my complaining.

Well, technically, He did…

I opened my Victorious devotional and landed on a passage that dirctly related to complaining about people. In essence, God used the devotional to remind me that I can’t control people. All I can control is my attitude and activity.

As a result, I repented and changed my attitude. God doesn’t want us to focus on other people. That’s being a Pharisee. I’m not a Pharisee. He wants us to be conformed more and more into His image, which might mean properly processing times of frustration.

Don’t complain.

Change.

Check your love?

Did you know you have the power to love? I mean… you have the power to love people, even when they are unlovely and unloveable?

The Spirit of Christ is on the inside of us, so we can love people, even when they are not lovely.

The Battle Book…it only took 10 years!

Ten years ago when I started my blog (which I later stopped), I started writing prayer confessions. Little did I know the blog, that only a few people read at the time, would turn into two books, two journals and, and two women’s bible studies. What you’re doing today may feel odd, strange, and even not worthwhile. But trust me, what you’re doing today will matter tomorrow.

It matters… keep going and don’t give up!

If you’re reading this blog and comment below (or any of my YouTube videos indicating “Kimyetta, I read your blog”, then I’ll send you a copy of The Battle Book free from Amazon. I want the book to be a reminder to you that if you keep going and moving into what God wants you to do, you’ll reap the rewards someday.
