2020… it’s not too late!

For three three years, God prodded me to start a Youtube Channel. I resisted the idea. I felt like I was too old. I needed to lose weight. I wanted to close the gap in my teeth and I definitely wanted to get the mole removed on my face.

I’m sure God was sitting in His Holy recliner laughing at my vanity. I gave him excuse after excuse for not pursuing His will. Three years later, I decided to do it anyway, with my mole and all.

Today I have 225 subscribers and nearly 10,000 views to my channel. More importantly than the numbers is I marvel at how God is using my channel to encouage women to pray and seek God. If I were still vainly focused on the outward, then God couldn’t use me.

Is God calling you to do something?

Don’t delay… RUN TO IT!

He’ll help you and guide you.

I’m praying for you.

What’s in a name?

Today I shared a post on LinkedIn that seemed to resonate with people. Although it is not a Bible Study or “Christian” post, I think it can help you if you have ever struggled with identity. It’s a post about how companies appeared to reject me because of my name… check it out below!

Be blessed!

Are you starting your day with God?

Okay I’m starting today’s blog with a question. Are you starting your day with God? I mean really starting your day. For example, do you grab your phone for reasons other than your Bible App first thing in the morning?

I used to.

I used to grab my phone to check a quick email or text or my bank account or social media. I’d say to myself, this will only take a “quick second” and then I’ll have devotion.

However, that quick “second” turned into 15 minutes or 20 or 30 and then it’s 45 minutes into the day and I’m still on my phone.

Things had to change.

So what did I do? I decided to change my aversion to Bible Apps. (I’m a traditional paper Bible gal, ya know!)

I decided to go straight to the Bible App to read two or three devotionals a day to start my day while in bed, followed by reading the Bible on my phone. This is something I do BEFORE getting out of bed in the morning. To date, I’ve completed 89 devotionals for the year because I read them before I officially start my day.

After that, I go to the bathroom to wash up and then on to my prayer closet to spend time with God and to have a full time of prayer, praise, confessions, journaling and bible meditation. I usually listen to one of my short prayer videos (see below) to get me going too!

As a result, I rarely put anything before God. (Disclaimer: If I go to bed too late, then my morning schedule is completely thrown off.)

Make a decision to put God FIRST in the morning.

You’ll see and feel the results in your day!

Thanks for hanging with me.

Reality Check: Patience

I have a new found respect for home schooling moms. I started virtual schooling my three children in March and I can assure you it is no easy task. At the beginning of the year, I asked God to help me become a more patient woman, no matter what.

God has a sense of humor because I am learning patience on a whole new level thanks to my two teenagers sons and my 9 year-old daughter.

This morning, I woke up with the below prayer on my mind.

I hope it blesses you.

Do people really know?

I have a friend who is a born again Believer, but her husband is not. I have another friend who has a Christian husband, but he doesn’t act very Christ-like or live in a manner that would indicate his faith.

Do you fall into one of those categories?

If so, my heart goes out to you.

Check out my latest prayer video. I hope it encourages you.

Be blessed!
