Breaking Generational Curses (Part 2)

A few days ago, I started a series of blogs about generational curses. Here’s Dr. Bridget Hilliard at a Woman Thou Art Loosed Conference. I’ve listened to this sermon more than 30 times. This is POWERFUL especially if you have kids. I love you and I’m praying for you.

Breaking Generational Curses (Part 1)

When people hear the term “generational curses” they start thinking spooky. However, that kind of thinking can keep you and your family in chains.

Here’s the simplest way to explain it: A generational curse is a repeated sin tendency that passed from one generation to the next.

My paternal family has a history of drug addiction and crime. It caused my dad his life at age 51 and it also caused me to be more susceptible to certain types of behaviours and patterns.

When I got saved, I made a decision to break the curse in my generation so my children would never be defeated by the sins or iniquity of family members that are long gone.  This is a serious topic. It’s not a cute Sunday School lesson.

Do you know your family history? Are you hurting your kids because you were hurt? Do you lie easily the way your mom did? Regardless of your situation, if you are a Believer, then according to John 8:36, God has set you free.

In a few days, I’ll post a great video from a dynamic woman of God who shares about this topic.  Tell your family and friends about it and get ready!
