Celebrating Pink Laundry

Yes. This is a picture of a laundry basket. I know it’s a little strange but bear with me for a moment.

Recently, I celebrated my 37th birthday. I remember thinking 37 was old… real old. 🙂

Like many of you, I had certain goals and dreams that I thought I would’ve accomplished by a certain age and for me, that didn’t include doing laundry every weekend.

However, today while staring at a basket of pink laundry, I’m actually celebrating. Because the laundry belongs to my beautiful baby girl. She’s only three months-old now, but her mere existence has fired me up.  When I look at her (or her laundry) I want more out of life for her, my boys, my husband… all of us.

I never thought God would bless me with a little girl, but He did and her little pink basket of laundry inspires me to become a much better human being…

Keep believing my friends!

The Smell of Victory

Can you smell victory on the horizon?

Have you been down so long that you forgot what it feels like to smell or even taste victory?

I’ve been there.

Victory used to be my middle name. However, I hit a season of pure defeat, detriment and lack.

Well, glory be to God… that season of my life is over.

I encourage you to put away everything that’s holding you back and smell the sweet flavor of victory in the air. Jesus died for you to experience victory everyday, all the time.  GLORY!!!!!!

Can’t you smell your victory on the horizon? I can…

I’m praying for you and I love you!

Watch the Face!

Yesterday my son asked me why did I look so mean when I come to pick him up from school. I was a bit thrown off by his question, so I pretended I didn’t know what he meant.
Actually, I tend to hold my breath before walking through the doors because I’m a little nervous about getting his behaviour report. I didn’t know he could see me through the glass and read my expression of impending dread on my face.
Obviously I felt guilty about it later  and decided to make an adjustment. From now on, I “watch my face” to ensure I’m wearing a positive expression when he sees me. Because it matters to him, that means it matters to me.

The journey continues my friends!

Let’s pray for each other…

The Favor Factor

I love hearing about God’s favor operating in people’s lives.

I remember hearing a Minister say “favor is not fair.” I didn’t quite understand it at first, but the more I study favor, I can see what he means.

In essence, when God moves in your life in a supernatural way to bless you, then you know favor is operating.  I love the scripture in 2 Corinthians 9:8 (AMP) which says God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessings) come to you!

GLORY! GLORY! Think about that statement. The God of the Universe has authority to bring EVERY favor to you.

You don’t have to look for it. Search for it. Scheme for it. Shout for it. He’s able to bring it right to your doorstep.

Get ready to receive my friends!

Does Being Right Really Matter?

Recently I had a funny conversation with someone about Marketing. I attempted to share my “expertise” on a matter and yet she insisted on her way.
Funny enough, her way had led to a hole over the last few years, but I didn’t bring that up. (Although I wanted to. :))
After I got off the phone, I realized I wasn’t annoyed, upset or even moved by the conversation.
 Why?
Because I’ve changed! GLORY to God. It feels good to say that I know if I had that conversation a year ago, I would’ve been fuming for a few hours about it. Instead, it rolled off my back onto the floor and I didn’t pick it  up.

Growing up feels good. I don’t have to be right about everything… just most things. 🙂
