Waiting on the Harvest

My kids' little "harvest".

Recently I walked into my kitchen at 4:48a.m.

This picture shows the first thing I saw sitting in my window. It was my boys’ two grass “projects” in tiny pots. What was shocking is that overnight the grass grew so rapidly. It reminded me of the scripture in Galatians 6:9 that says, do not be weary in well doing because you will reap a harvest at the proper time, if you faint not. GLORY!

Overnight. And Suddenly.  In an instant my boys had a harvest of grass sprouting out of their pots. That’s how God works. Our job is to sow and water the seed and don’t grow faint.

We’re guaranteed a harvest… someday!

Mistake or Lesson?

Cecile Graat

Do you beat yourself up over your mistakes?

What if you make the same mistake over and over?

Do you kick yourself for “messing up” something?

I asked those questions because I read a dynamite tweet from Rick Warren that says “It’s not a mistake, it’s a lesson.”

WOW! That was right on time. It helped me. It soothed me. It encouraged me to know that as long as I learn from my mistakes, then it was merely a lesson that I learned. No condemnation for the past failures. I’m moving forward.

What about you?

Are You Pregnant Too?

I have a loaded question for you.

Are you pregnant?

I know that seems silly, but I really want to know.

You see, I’m moments away from giving birth to my daughter.  It’s certainly exciting to know that God has chosen me as a vessel of life, for the third time.  However, this pregnancy has birthed a physical AND spiritual baby. It’s birthed a newness and drive in me to pursue God’s ultimate plan for my life.

That’s what I want for you. That’s my prayer for you.

Think about it.

Are you living the life you want to live?  Do you spend your time passionately pursuing your purpose?

Please know that God has given you a “baby”, but it’s up to you to birth it, nurture it and nourish it.  Don’t let your dreams and passions die in a graveyard of mediocrity.

It’s never too late to give birth! Never.

I love you and I’m praying for you!

After the Prophecy

Billy Alexander

Receiving prophetic words from God through people is a powerful experience.

It has happened to me a few times in my life. I’ve always felt rather excited or even anxious to know what’s next. Recently when someone prophesied over me it was during a rather difficult time, but I knew the person heard from God. I was excited to get a confirmation on something I’ve heard for years.

However, I couldn’t help but wonder… when God when.. come on God let’s speed this thing up? Am I the only one who feels that way?
