MIND RENEWAL Day 38: Simple Encouragement

Hey!

Tonight I had challenges with the radio blog, so I’m posting a simple video to sum up what I wanted to talk about. I REALLY REALLY need to hear the words to this song. What about you?

I love you and I’m praying for you.

MIND RENEWAL Day 35: Deep Inside

A few days ago I started talking about “compelling reasons” and motives. Why do we do what do?  Why do we want what we want?

I wish I could say I’m so holy that all of my motives are completely pure and innocent.

🙂

Here’s the truth, I struggled with my motives for YEARSSSSSSSS!

I wanted things because… well… I wanted things.

It was never about being a blessing or an inspiration to someone else. It was all about ME!

Well folks, that doesn’t work. In fact, it was a really lonely existence.

I love the scripture in John 15:7 which helped me understand that God’s words must abide in me so when I ask for something, I’m in line with what He wants for me.

God’s word began to shape me from the inside out, so my motives slowly began to change.

Ahhhh… It’s such a peaceful place to be.

Thanks for taking the journey with me…. only 330 more days to go.

I love you and I’m praying for you.

MIND RENEWAL Day 16- Resting in God

What a fabulous day!

God’s Word is so real and alive in me.

The more I confess His word, the more peace I sense inside of me.

Today, I don’t have a specific post. I simply want to encourage you to REST IN GOD… He’s in CONTROL!

In other words,  don’t sweat the small stuff.

Relax and rest.

I love you and I’m praying for you.

MIND RENEWAL: Day 8- Honoring My Man!

Today I was thinking about how much I love and cherish my husband. He’s helped me grow so much throughout the years and my love and respect for him grows daily.

Since I never thought I’d be a wife or mother, I had to renew my mind BIG time in this area.  I tried to change my husband for seven years before I got the revelation that I WAS THE PROBLEM. NOT HIM!!!!

Today I will post my most popular blog ever instead of writing something new (because I want to spend the evening hanging out with him instead of studying and writing.) 🙂

Until next time…

Enjoy: The Microwave

I love you and I’m praying for you!

Do I See an “F” in Marriage?

My husband and I are at an interesting place. We’ve been married for 11 years and we have three small children and A LOT of external factors surrounding us right now.

Some days we’re mushy eyed at each other and other days… uuuhhhhmmm… we’re simply not.

I know engaged and newly married couples don’t believe it… trust me. 🙂

Some days we can talk for hours and other days we’re in separate spaces. That’s reality folks.
In order to have a great marriage, we have to FIGHT for it. It won’t happen because we love each other. Nor will it happen because we’re good companions.
Every day, we have to FIGHT through any emotions, animosity, hurt, fatigue or simply sameness in order to keep our marriage alive.

Our emotions should never dictate how we treat each other. We have to live out the Bible in our marriage regardless of how we feeeeeeeeeeeeelllll at the moment.

I know it’s hard, but it’s a part of the fight!

Keep pressing…
