Is Confidence the Key???

I used to get confidence and cockiness confused a lot.

I learned the hard way, that God doesn’t want me to rely on my gifts or ability alone.

My primary reliance should always be on Him and His ability working through me.

That doesn’t mean I’m supposed to sit around and hope for things to improve. I have a part to play in my success in life.

The beauty of being a Christian is that “my part” or “my gifts” or “my anointing” isn’t about me or for me. My gifts are from God for Him to use any way he wants… I repeat… HE WILL USE YOU ANYWAY HE WANTS.

There’s no confusion anymore.

Being confident is all about knowing who I am in Christ and allowing his supernatural ability to guide me to my destiny as I serve Him, my family and mankind.

I’m meditating on Jeremiah 29:11 and Ephesians 3:20. Join me.

MIND RENEWAL Day 47: More of Him!

I’ve been so inspired by Psalms 42:1-5 lately.

So much so, that I’ve decided to devote this week (or maybe a few weeks) to drawing closer to God.

I want to focus on pursuing God on a new level. No asking. No declaring. No confessing. No requests.

Just God.

More of Him.

Less of Me.

MIND RENEWAL Day 46:Don’t fight people!

Spiritual Distraction… that’s an interesting phrase isn’t it. It’s a phrase I blurted out while talking with my husband about my blog feature on “people issues.”
You see, I realized a spiritual distraction is anything that can keep you from focusing your whole heart, soul, mind and strength on God.

People issues are a perfect example of spiritual distractions.

Think about it.

If you’re completely engaged and upset over a human being, then how can you be completely engaged with the all-knowing, supreme God of heaven and earth.

You simply can’t.
Don’t allow “people issues” to distract you from becoming a spiritual giant! It’s a trap!

MIND RENEWAL Day 40: Push Anyway!

It’s been a week since my last blog and a lot has happened. Here’s a snapshot:

Two sick children.

Two doctor’s visits.

One hospital visit.

Lots of new medicines.

One traffic ticket.

A pile of new bills.

Sleepless nights.

A never-ending TO DO list.

Two extra ponds.

No self control.

Tears.

Long, long days…

But God is still God and He still loves me!

I’m pushing anyway!
