Kimyetta Hayden

Hi, I am Kimyetta, the founder of The Prayer Closet with Kimyetta on YouTube. I am a wife, mother, Content Creator, Author, and College Professor. (Whew! 😰)

I was born and raised in one of the most impoverished housing projects in the Atlanta area. It was infamous for being the birthplace of the Atlanta Child Murders. Although my earthly lineage consisted of poverty, drugs, and crime, I was blessed with a mother who believed in her ability to live a life of freedom from her past. Check out mom’s testimony here.

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Grambling State University, Magna Cum Laude and my Master of Arts Degree from Marist College. I have worked for several companies, including Fox 5-Atlanta, New York Daily News, Black Entertainment Television, Worldwide Discipleship Association, and World Changers.

Despite my professional acumen, I have no greater passion in life than my love and devotion to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who lifted me out of the depths of emotional despair and behavioral addiction.

I have been married for more than two decades to an extraordinary man and I have three outstanding children.

Despite my beginning, I am a living testimony to the power of prayer. My life verse is from Mark 5:34, which says “He said to her, Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” My goal is to live the life Christ died for me to live and to bring many captives to freedom on my journey.

Thanks for being here and feel free to send me a prayer request here.

I read two pages of The Battle Book. After hearing you talk about God the way you do. I’ve decided to try it again. Faith and trust in God after becoming a Domestic violence survivor. Thank you so much for being a Earthly Angel.

Thank you so much, Denise. This comment blesses me greatly. I don’t think I have the words to truly express how grateful I am to God. He is the ONE that lifts us out of our pits and puts a new song in our mouths, as the Psalmist said. I hope the prayers in the Battle Book will minister to you and empower you. Let’s keep praying and seeking the Lord sister!
